Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the role is to plan activities that define the information needs of icare and designing the data master blueprints to meet those needs within the context of all data architecture and the connections with information systems, information technologies, and solutions.

DUTIES

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Senior Data Architect you will:

  • Understand the information needs of the enterprise with emphasis on executive information consumption and data that comes from or is provided to parties external to the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated, subject-oriented, predominantly conceptual enterprise data model representing essential data produced and consumed across the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain cross-references that map elements of the enterprise data model to organisation, function, and process business models.
  • Identify gaps in Data Architecture Management practices and orchestrate eliminating those gaps, leading to:
  • Approving models that demonstrate effective data warehousing, business intelligence, data integration & meta-data management.
  • Approving taxonomy and namespace standards.
  • Approving content and document management standards.
  • Approving models demonstrating how information technologies can be successfully employed in effective data management.
  • Stay abreast of data management industry trends and energy data models (e.g., PPDM and PODS) and champion their potential to improve enterprise data management.
  • Define and publish data management standards.
