About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Sr Data Center Asset Management Portfolio Manager to join our growing retrofit data center construction Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in data center asset management, particularly in analyzing CMMS data, run-time data, and failure data, as well as evaluating and mitigating operational risk. This senior role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in developing risk models, portfolio planning (utilizing asset data from CMMS into a roadmap for replacement of assets in future years) , and capital planning (annual planning using risk scores), who can lead and coordinate accurate risk evaluation for over 1500 projects in a fiscal year.
What you’ll do
Data Analysis & Risk Assessment:
Analyze backlog project data, CMMS data, run-time data, and failure data to identify potential operational risks.
Develop and refine risk models for evaluating operational risks associated with retrofit data center projects.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate and improve existing risk models.
Tool Development & Automation:
Develop automated tool-based requirements for the risk model to streamline risk assessment processes.
Implement and oversee the use of automated tools to ensure accurate and efficient risk evaluations.
Project Management & Coordination:
Lead and coordinate risk evaluation for over 1500 projects, ensuring timely completion of risk scores.
Plan and manage the risk evaluation process, including setting timelines, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
Facilitate and lead meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management & Consensus Building:
Navigate a highly matrixed organization and build consensus among competing stakeholders. Communicate effectively with various departments and levels of management to ensure alignment on risk management strategies and objectives.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in risk and asset management, providing guidance and support to project teams.
Frameworks & Compliance:
Apply knowledge and experience in ISO certified asset management and risk management frameworks to ensure compliance and best practices.
Apply understanding of asset roadmaps based on CMMS data Stay updated on industry standards and incorporate relevant frameworks into the risk management process.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 15-20 years of extensive experience in data center asset management, specifically analyzing CMMS data, run-time data, and failure data.
  • Proven experience in evaluating operational risk, developing risk models, portfolio planning, and capital planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading and coordinating large-scale risk evaluations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and consensus-building abilities in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience with ISO certified asset management and risk management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and automated risk assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the data center industry, specifically in retrofit construction projects.
  • Certification in risk management or asset management (e.g., ISO 55001, ISO 310)

Equal Pay Disclaimer: CBRE Carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000.00 and the maximum salary for this position is $199,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Vision Insurance.
