IDEAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years + management experience in Enterprise Data Centres
  • Proven record in respect of dealing with Data Centre MEP technologies
  • Experience in capacity management and customer provisioning
  • Understand financial processes and maintain operations to align with budgets
  • Proven record in developing and executing Data Centre routine maintennce activity
  • Experienced in policy and standards development, writing and application
  • Good knowledge of building services (Structural, DRUPS/UPS, HV/LV switchgear, Electrical Design, Generators, Security Systems, HVAC, Fire, Security, EMS, BMS)
  • Contractor management capability

Responsibilities:

  • Understand ESLD’s and HVAC SLD’s and write/edit PTW’s, SWMS and operational MOPs.
  • Understand all Facility support systems to assist Design and Build teams during upgrade projects.
  • Manage third party contractors including operational/ SLA requirements
  • Assist with documenting, maintaining and improving key Data Centre Facility Processes Electrical and Mechanical Diagrams.
  • Manage 24/7 shift Facility Technicians roster, work activities, KPI’s and development.
  • Support Macquarie Park Campus and IC1 Availability.
  • Attend major switching operations including annual mains fail simulation tests and major maintenance of the MEP.
  • Manage preventative maintenance actions to support reliable and scalable Data Centre infrastructure.
  • Capacity Planning: managing and projecting the Macquarie Data Centre requirements.
  • Manage Static Security and Security System vendors to meet contractual requirements.
  • Understand internal/external billing systems and mutual dependencies
  • Respond to Sydney facility reported incidents and resolve them within agreed SLA thresholds
  • Application of work practices compliant to existing SOC, DSD, PCI, ISO standards/ certifications
  • Attend and assist with regular auditing of Intellicentre facility operational practices in alignment with certifications/SLAs.
  • Support Sales/Technical Consultants during pre-sale process to determine customer requirements.
