Introducing hyble!
Things move quickly at hyble! We’re a team of passionate individuals who love what we do and are always striving for the best. If you’re looking for a company that values your contributions and offers exciting challenges, this might be the place for you.
We’re a fast-growing marketing technology company serving customers in over 50 countries.
Just six years ago, we were a tight-knit team of 12 crammed into a tiny office in a start-up incubator. Fast forward to today, and we’ve transformed into a dynamic team of over 90 passionate individuals spanning three continents partnering with some of the world’s biggest alcoholic beverage brands.
Right now, we’re expanding rapidly into North America as a result of signing a transformational contract with the largest Wine and Spirits Distributor in the USA, who also happens to be the 11th biggest privately owned company in the US.
Our Purpose
Our goal is to create a lasting positive impact by disrupting a traditional industry that’s operated the same way for over 50 years.
It blows our minds that sales reps have to spend weeks creating something as simple as a poster. And we’re horrified by the amount of obsolete Point of Sale we see being sent to landfill. So, we’re on a mission to solve these issues once and for all.
Our technology platform “Hyble” empowers sales reps in the beverage industry to create on-demand marketing materials that are both brand-compliant and tailored for the specific account. Combined with our enterprise services, which enable the change management process and our cloud printing model that enables rapid turnaround print, we have a game-changing solution that the market is screaming out for.
This innovative approach makes sales reps lives easier by allowing them to support more accounts in less time while also drastically reducing the production of generic marketing content that often ends up in landfill.

If this resonates with you, then read on to discover more about the role you could play in our journey.
What you’ll do
As our first dedicated Data Engineer, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build Hyble’s data infrastructure from the ground up. You’ll build a scalable architecture that supports both internal operations and product innovation.
Currently, we run a simple Snowflake/PowerBI setup. While this will be useful for initial experimentation, we’re open to exploring all options to ensure our architecture is scalable and future-proof. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping our long-term data strategy.
This is a hands-on role, embedded within our new Data and AI team. You’ll leverage both off-the-shelf tools and custom scripting to design, build, and maintain the data pipelines that power Hyble’s data-driven future. We value speed and efficiency, so you’ll prioritize open-source and off-the-shelf products wherever possible, while still having the autonomy to build custom solutions when needed.
At Hyble, we see data as more than just internal reporting. We’re excited about leveraging our data for product innovation and AI-driven features, as well as providing valuable insights to our clients. Experience with data pipelines designed for external consumption would be a significant asset, as would a track record of preparing data for consumption by machine learning or gen-AI models.
What your responsibilities will be:
- Data Platform Development: Build and maintain a scalable data platform, emphasising self-service capabilities for efficient data access and analysis.
- Platform Architecture & Design: Lead the architecture and design of the data platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
- Developer Upskilling: Provide training and support to other developers to enhance their data skills and understanding.
- Data Governance: Establish and maintain data governance practices, including defining data standards, ensuring data quality, and managing data access and security.
- Data Evangelism: Promote a data-driven culture across the organization, demonstrating the value of data-informed decision-making.
- Product Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the product and influence the roadmap to incorporate data considerations from the outset.
What you’ll bring
- Proven track record in building and maintaining scalable data platforms and choosing the right tooling for the job.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Proficient in data pipeline development and orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt.
- Experience of at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong programming skills (at a minimum Python + SQL) for automation and custom integrations.
- Experience integrating data via off the shelf tooling, for example Stitch, Skyvia, Airbyte.
- Knowledge of metadata and data governance, including establishing data catalogues, data quality testing, and managing security/access levels.
- Ability to reason with architectural trade-offs, for example data monoliths vs loosely coupled components.
- Strong organisational ability, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile software development practices.
- Desire to continue to grow professional capabilities with ongoing training and educational opportunities.
Not essential, it would be a bonus if you:
- Experience preparing data for machine learning or AI models.
- Experience building external/client focussed data pipelines.
- Experience with site reliability engineering (SRE) practices for platform reliability.
- Experience training/managing/mentoring other engineers.
- Experience with Azure specifically, particularly the data stack, for example Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse and PowerBI.
- Experience in .NET/C#.
- Experience with SQL Server.
The knowledge and skills we have listed represent “the perfect candidate.” No one’s perfect and we know the ‘confidence gap’ can stop brilliant people applying. If you love the sound of this opportunity please apply, we would love to hear from you.
You could belong here;
To deliver brilliant marketing to Hyble’s global drinks suppliers and their customers, we need to build a company that’s reflective of their diversity. We’re building an inclusive workplace that promotes and values difference, where everyone, from any background, can do their best work and be proud to belong.
What we’ll offer
As well as your salary;
- Pension. A combined contribution of up 12% of your salary for your future.

- Holidays. 33 days including public holidays, with options to buy or sell extra days.
