We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a deep understanding of Zendesk data structures and APIs. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and management of a robust data platform/warehouse. The successful candidate will extract, transform, and integrate data from Zendesk and additional sources to support both real-time and historical data use cases. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, availability, and resiliency across multiple environments.

Responsibilities:

• Data Platform Development:
• Design and implement a comprehensive data platform/warehouse to support various business needs.
• Integrate data from Zendesk and other identified sources, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
• Data Extraction and Integration:
• Extract and process data from Zendesk, including identifying and working with various Zendesk data types, tables, and APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and integrate additional data sources, such as existing policy documents and invoice data.
• Architectural Design and Implementation:
• Develop data architectures that cater to both real-time and historical data use cases.
• Implement high availability (H/A) and resiliency strategies, including multi-AZ deployments, backups, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery planning.
• Automation and Optimization:
• Utilize Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks, ensuring efficient data processing.
• Leverage AWS services (RDS, SQL, PostGres, NoSQL, DynamoDB, AWS Glue, AWS Textract) to optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing workflows.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing data architectures for both real-time and historical data use cases.
• In-depth familiarity with Zendesk data types, tables, and associated APIs.
• Expertise in high availability (H/A) and resiliency strategies, including multi-AZ deployments, backups, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks.
• Strong experience with AWS services, including RDS, SQL, PostGres, NoSQL, DynamoDB, AWS Glue, and AWS Textract.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional data sources, such as policy documents or invoice data.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex data-related issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
