Senior Data Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity in our dynamic Group IT Team to join ZIGUP as a Senior Data Engineer!
Reporting to one of our Data Engineering Managers, you’ll be a key part of a remote team driving projects across our organisation. Your SQL expertise will be utilised in crafting solutions on the MS SQL server stack. You’ll work in Agile and Kanban environments using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitHub to drive impactful projects across the business.

• Review and adopt new technologies and tools from Microsoft, SAS, and Idera as part of our Data Platforms Strategy.
• Manage cloud data technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse) and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Improve performance through query optimisation and database tuning.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Database Administrators to refine data approaches.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and portray a professional image to business users.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
