Description:
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in Data Protection/GDPR
- Able to liaise with customers and fielding their queries.
- Excellent communication and presentational skills
- Experience of communicating and working within multi-disciplined teams.
- Work well under pressure, prioritise tasks to manage deadlines and be a self-motivated team player.
- Role required Government Security Clearance, candidate should have no concerns or objections to complete the vetting process.
- Experience in apply GDPR.
- Experience working with OneTrust platform.
- Experience performing eDiscovery activities.
- Experience performing Data Subject Rights Requests.
- Good understanding of Information Security, Risk Management and Cyber Security.
- Experience of working in an ISO accredited company.

Responsibilities:
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Data Protection framework is critical to the ongoing success and reputation of SCC UK. The role of Senior Data Protection Analyst will offer the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to work closely with the business across a broad range of activities (projects, new product developments, business processes, stakeholder advice and strategy) to ensure that data is managed effectively throughout its lifecycle.
You will be a key member of the Digital Trust function and will work closely with the other departments, which are Data Governance, Information/Cyber-Security, Security Vetting, Business Improvement and Commercial.
The Senior Data Protection Analyst will report directly to the CISO (Data Protection Officer) and will work with them to support SCC business functions for the period of maternity cover, otherwise reporting to the Data Protection Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expert support to the wider business on United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
- Review & create the development and maintenance of data protection related policies, standards, and guidance.
- Support the DPIA & ROPA processes and provide guidance to the business.
- Work with Data Governance team to support Data Mapping activities.
- Support the wider Digital Trust team in data breach investigation.
- Deputy the Compliance & Working Group meetings, in the absence of the Data Protection Manager.
- Actively promote culture change data protection good practice across the business.
- Feed into enterprise risk for data protection and PECR.
- Create senior management reports, including reports to the DPO and Steering Group.
- Performing eDiscovery activities to ensure SCC meets its legal obligations Data Subject Rights Requests.
- Support the DPO & Data Protection Manager with regards to training and monitoring.
- Work with SCC’s law firms DPO as a Service where additional support is required.
- Any other duties as required by the SCC management from time to time.
