Senior Data Scientist

Overview:
The CAD-Senior Data Scientist is a vital role in Prodapt’s CAD department. The main purpose of this position is to develop, execute, and continuously optimize data analysis models to meet the business needs of the organization. The individual in this role will work with a cross-functional team of data engineers, web developers, and business unit owners to improve existing algorithms, extract new features, and identify important variables. This role is key to the organization’s efforts in improving modeling capabilities, introducing new data science innovations and engaging directly with the web and A/B testing teams to implement and monitor performance of data science products.

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: The Senior Data Scientist will work in a cross-functional team to improve existing algorithms, query databases, and extract new features and identify important variables.
• Predictive Modelling: They will support data modeling efforts to ensure efficient data capture needed to improve the modeling capabilities.
• Performance Optimization: They will engage directly with the web and A/B testing teams to implement and monitor performance of data science products.
• Data Science Innovations: They will collaborate with directors, managers, and senior leadership team to ideate and introduce new data science innovations into business areas in telecommunications domain.
• Migrating data from 3rd party systems into partnered software (Salesforce).
• Data loading into production environment using AWS tools (AppFlow, S3, Lambda, Eventbridge, Stepfunctions)
• Data cleansing, preparations, reposting, and data analysis.
• Deliver data transfers successfully.
• Report data migration results, including KPIs and issues that require corrective actions.
• Comply with data security - ensure all migration and data processes follow the company’s rules, regulations & standards.
• Troubleshooting of bulk data migration in Salesforce.
• Data validation and execution of fallout management procedures (corrective actions on migrated data) in Salesforce (production).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• MSc/BE/Masters in IT/Computer Science is desired.
• 4-7 years of work experience
• Experience working in multi-channel delivery projects.
• Experience in machine learning, statistical and probability analysis, predictive modeling, hypothesis testing and associated software libraries and tools.
• Technical knowledge of T-SQL, PL-SQL, R/Python/SAS, frameworks like Tensorflow, Pytorch, Mxnet, Keras, Pytorch, Flask, GIT/Bit Bucket, Spark/Scala, Shell Scripting, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and GCP is required.
• Proven working experience as a data migration analyst.
• Proven experience with data loading into production environments, including execution, validation and corrective actions over migrated data.
• Proven technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Experience with integration with Salesforce APIS (BULK, REST and SOAP)
• Understanding and experience with Telecom Product Catalog
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SAS etc).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
• Understanding of Telecom Network Object characteristics and its purpose/use in the Network.
• Knowledge and experience with databases and SQL, programming (Python, XML, ETL frameworks) and reporting packages (Business Objects etc).
• Experience with data migration in Telecom (fixed and mobile lines, postpaid and prepaid, B2C and B2B) and cloud industries model.
• Deep understanding of cloud technology.
• Previous experience as a System Analyst, Developer or DBA.
• Understanding of Data Migration ETL Process.
• Spanish and English Written and Spoken languages.
• Be familiar with Agile (SCRUM) methodology.
