The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for:

  • Developing approaches for continuous performance monitoring of models in production.
  • Defining and implementing metrics to evaluate the success of AI/ML features.
  • Engaging in the end-to-end product ML lifecycle, from ideation to training, testing, and evaluation of ML models to deployment and monitoring of models in production.
  • Autonomously engaging in time-sensitive R&D for complex and ambiguous problems spanning domains such as Recommender Systems, Graph ML, GenAI & NLP.
  • Developing compelling prototypes and demonstrations to communicate results to the data science team as well as product and engineering stakeholders.
  • Triaging and performing root cause analysis of AI/ML issues in production.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be able to work in the US or Canada without visa sponsorship.
  • B.S. or above in quantitative discipline: Computer Science Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 + years of experience working as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Understanding of common ML algorithms and techniques for clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, recommender systems.
  • Proven experience building ML models and deploying them to production.
  • Experience with common ML tools and libraries: Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, R.
  • Solid applied statistics knowledge: hypothesis testing, statistical inference, sampling, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter who can engage on ambiguous assignments and provide thought leadership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand language for product and business stakeholders.

Preferred

  • M.S. or PhD in quantitative discipline: Computer Science Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with measuring success of AI/ML Products
  • Familiarity with graphs, graph databases, graph algorithms, GNNs/GATs, etc.
  • Experience with recommender systems.
  • Experience with cloud computing workflows, preferably AWS (EMR, EC2, EKS).
  • Experience with AWS SageMaker or other cloud deployment technologies for ML.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed computing technologies such as Apache Spark.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. The reasonably estimated base salary for this role at SailPoint ranges from (min-mid-max):
$114,590 - $163,700 - $212,810
