The potential post-holders must have proven expertise in the use of SQLServer, MS SQL, and SSIS. Previous NHS experience would be highly advantageous.
Please note that this role requires regular on-site attendance, and that interviews will take place on site. Previous applicants for this role, which was also advertised in June/July of this year, need not apply.
Applicants are kindly requested to refrain from using AI at any stage during the recruitment process.
Please note that, in addition to the below summary, you will need to familiarise yourself with the full job description and person specification documents attached to this advert.
Working closely with colleagues in the Data Warehousing and other Digital & Information teams, the post holder will be expected to take a leading role in the analysis, design, and development of both standard as well as ad-hoc data warehousing packages for the provision of data for reports, dashboards, downstream systems, and for data migration purposes.
As an expert in the field of Trust data, data validation, ETL mechanisms, and data provision, the post-holder will also be expected to provide leadership and mentoring for less experienced colleagues. They will also be expected to help with the development and maintenance of standards, procedures, and best practice guides, also where this may concern the potential adoption of new technologies in the team.
With over 19,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population. We play a leading role in research, education and innovation.
Come and join our wonderful team at NUH. With endless personal development opportunities available, at NUH we will endeavour to turn your job into a career!
We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled, as we are striving to be better represented at NUH.
Your work will be varied and interesting, encompassing e.g. the investigation of acquiring potential new datasets from various clinical systems into the Trust data warehouse, building new data pipelines, ongoing monitoring of existing packages, providing architectural and strategic advice, etc.
A full description of the job and the main responsibilities can be found in the Job Description document that accompanies this advert.
In your application, please make sure you address the key points outlined in the Person Specification so we can assess your suitability for this role, specifically with regards to your practical experience in working with standard NHS datasets, SQLServer / SSIS, data mapping, requirements gathering, analysis and design, and providing any and all associated project documentation
