SENIOR DELI STAFF OPPORTUNITY AT MORIARTY’S SUPER VALU, PALMERSTOWN, DUBLIN 20.
The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company involved in both the Retail Grocery and Hospitality Industries. The company’s portfolio currently comprises of three large Super Valu Supermarkets in Balbriggan and Skerries in North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The company also owns two 4* Hotels, the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, North County Dublin and the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The company currently employee’s approximately 550 people.
The Moriarty Group of Super Valu’s are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit senior deli staff for our busy Palmerstown store.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-2 years’ experience as a deli assistant. (preferably within a deli producing a high volume of product) would be desirable but is not essential.
- Must be HACCP trained.
- Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
- Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner.
- Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the fresh dept.
- Must have a good knowledge of or interest in food.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Must be available for early starts and late finishes.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
We have a mixture of both full-time and part-time casual positions available. Full-time positions will consist of the candidate working 39 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.
The part-time casual positions will require the candidate to work 24-30 hours per week, 3 to 4 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Work with the deli team team on ensuring the smooth day to day running of the department.
- HACCP duties.
- Food preparation & cooking.
- Counter service.
- Providing a high level of customer service at all times.
