Position: Permanent, full-time
Location: Primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street
Salary: $111,553 - $123,948

As a Senior Advisor in our Democratic Services team, you will:
- Work closely with Elected members, ELT and Council Officers to providing specialist advice in democratic processes and decision making processes, including Standing Orders
- Provide end to end service and support to Council, it’s committees and other associated meetings
- Work as an intermediate between Council, the community and external agencies who are seeking advice and information on Council activities and decision making
- Review and edit complex documents and related informatio

As a Senior Advisor in our Democratic Services team, you will:

To be successful in the role, you will:
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (such as law, political science or humanities), and extensive local government experience
- Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Be able to think on your feet and see the big picture, and have an excellent eye for detail
- Be timeframe focused, calm under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines
- Have a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality, and be able to think strategicall
