The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic Senior Design/Project Manager to join the Design Management Function in our London office and to play a role in ensuring the successful delivery of some of the most exciting and high-profile projects within the UK and internationally. This is a role has a stimulating level of exposure to the wider project teams and stakeholders with great potential to develop your career and expand experience.
Working closely with senior members of the Design Management Team, the Senior Design/Project Manager is responsible for the day to day running of large and/or complex projects which may include sub-consultants and may be presented as the project lead to the client teams.
This role includes planning and implementing project delivery, facilitating coordination and communication. Candidates will typically be knowledgeable in project methods and tools, and building/maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. You will manage the design delivery, submissions, risk management, planning, commercial obligations, and progress monitoring whilst also ensuring the client objectives are understood and met.
You will also have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and collaborate closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of profitable projects and will be supported towards chartership.
The Skills:
The candidate shall be educated to bachelor’s degree level or higher in project management, engineering or architecture, or similar approved vocational qualification.
They will also be a member of APM, PMP, MCIOB, MRICS, CIBSE, Engineering Council, IET, or similar approved professional organisation.
We seek experience within a similar Project/Design Management consultancy role or within an appropriate design field. They will have some commercial awareness to administratively support the Partners/Associates with the preparation of bids, requests for proposals, sub-consultant appointments and their contract administration.
