Description:

ABOUT THE @ONE ALLIANCE

The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a totally collaborative organisation made up of eight partner companies (Anglian Water, SWECO, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, and Skanska) and an extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever delivered before. We’ll be embarking on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes.
We are driving change, empowering us to set global benchmarks and build a better environment, with the opportunity to offer enhanced growth and development to our workforce. We’re looking to build on our existing teams with an environment built for career progression.
With such an exciting portfolio of projects planned for AMP8 to keep the water flowing across the region, our ability to manage our work and outperform against our customer’s expectations will come under greater scrutiny.
We need aspiring driven talent to help us achieve our ambitious targets, are you ready to join us as we prepare to deliver the most creative and innovative AMP we have ever seen?

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop the Engineering Team: Plan and allocate resources effectively, recruit and develop talent, and ensure the team delivers high-quality engineering outputs.
  • Drive Innovation and Sustainability: Embrace new digital technologies and develop sustainable solutions to reduce carbon and protect natural capital, aligning with PAS 2080 principles.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Fulfil the role of CDM Principal Designer, championing a strong health, safety, and welfare culture within the team.
  • Collaborate and Influence: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving collaboration to achieve project goals.
  • Deliver Excellence: Instil a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours.
To join our team, you’ll need a degree in Engineering, preferably with Chartered Engineer status, and substantial experience in leading multi-disciplinary design teams on complex capital projects. Your expertise in fulfilling the responsibilities of a CDM Principal Designer will be crucial, ensuring safety and compliance across all design activities.
As a leader, you’ll inspire and develop your team, fostering a collaborative environment where innovation thrives. Your strong focus on sustainability and efficiency will drive the adoption of new technologies and solutions. With excellent stakeholder management skills, you’ll build trust and rapport, ensuring successful project delivery that aligns with our commitment to environmental and social prosperity.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply today!
