The Senior Developer will engage fully in the software development process, contributing innovative ideas and leading process improvements when needed.
Established in 1983, Maytas as been developed as a flexible learning management solution used by training providers, employers, and universities. It tracks learners, personnel, employers, and resources in one database, offering a comprehensive view of an organization’s training activities. The product streamlines administration, supports various training types, and manages funding, objectives, and evidence submission.
Maytas is now embarking on a next-generation iteration to enhance user experience with smooth processes, mobile-friendly design, and integrated services.
This role is based in Lancaster and requires office attendance on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Responsibilities:
We are excited to be bringing on a Senior Developer to fully participate and contribute to the software maintenance, management and development process at Tribal, specifically on the Maytas product. We’re looking for someone to join us, demonstrating a high level of competence and professionalism.
As a Senior you will be supporting with process improvement and process management as well as mentoring junior developers when needed, helping them build their confidence and skill level In their role.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Advocate for innovative approaches and technologies to address complex problems.
- Lead and collaborate in designing new functionality, offering innovative suggestions to improve overall architecture.
- Propose and implement proactive measures to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Support tasks such as version control, configuration management, build, and release management.
- Mentor and coach developers to ensure deliverables are met and drive expertise in software development.
- Assist in coordinating development phases.
- Provide technical input to support the sales process when needed.
- Offer advice on feasibility and project work estimates.
- Produce accurate code of increasing complexity that is supportable and testable, with a “right first time” approach.
- Ensure versions of third-party controls remain current and supported.
