    Where the team fits in
    The Listings tribe in the Agency Services group build and operate the systems that support REA’s ability to interact with customers from across the REA business.
    The Listings Squads are responsible for the systems that power our listing ingestion and publication – both legacy and new, the evolving Partner Platform APIs as well as playing a key role in helping to drive a path for our customers away from legacy systems like Agent Admin and Agent Desktop and into new systems like Ignite.

What the role is all about

  • Designing, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications.
  • Keeping our production applications stable and healthy.
  • Leading the implementation of major features.
  • Inform delivery planning and technical design by providing a balanced view of options, effort and quality considerations.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology advancements to inform product and technical design.
  • Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of products, technology, process and team development.
  • Actively develop skills and experience through continual learning and evaluation.
  • Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the team

Who we’re looking for

  • Advanced skills in a backend languages such as Java or Scala + API development.
  • Experience in core web development technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS & modern web applications frameworks (e.g. React).
  • Experience in modern software development techniques such as test-driven development and continuous delivery.
  • Able to be effective in a collaborative team environment.
  • Able to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment.
  • Excellent relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong learning agility.
  • Someone who looks at challenging situations through a solutions-focused lens.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced and agile environment
