Description:

YOUR PROFILE:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles with a strong emphasis on AWS, good understanding of or exposure to React and ecosystem libraries
  • Deep expertise in designing and managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (ideally using CircleCI).
  • Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools such using Terraform.
  • Experience with application containerisation and container management using Docker.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and best practices in a cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Sentry) and log management solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, eager to solve problems and proactively seeking new ways to improve or fix issues.

Document and knowledge share

  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across the team
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices for infrastructure management and CI/CD processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, sharing knowledge with the tea

Responsibilities:

JOB ROLE:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a specialisation in AWS to join our innovative team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining continuous delivery of our software solutions and driving the culture of DevOps. You will lead activities around software delivery process automation, ensuring security, observability, reliability and scalability of our software products.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Manage infrastructure

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform
  • Automate the provisioning and deployment of AWS resources
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of AWS infrastructure

Manage CI/CD pipelines

  • Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using CircleCI
  • Optimise deployment processes and workflows aiming at high speed and low cost of deployment
  • Ensure the reliability and security of CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing, service health checks, security scanning, and compliance checks

Automate and script

  • Write and maintain scripts for automation tasks related to infrastructure and deployment
  • Thrive for achieving 100% automation with 0 manual steps in the deployment processes and workflows
  • Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes

Collaborate and support

  • Work as a team with software engineers to understand application requirements and translate them into infrastructure needs
  • Have a good understanding of the team’s chosen programming languages, frameworks and ecosystem as well as the application codebase
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for infrastructure and deployment-related issues
  • Help ensure security is kept with industry standards and best practices

Monitor and optimise

  • Set up and manage monitoring tools to gain insights into infrastructure and application performance
  • Continuously evaluate and optimise infrastructure costs, performance, and reliability

Document and knowledge share

  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across the team
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices for infrastructure management and CI/CD processes
