Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, E-Commerce Digital Technologies, you add value by key areas of oversight such as:
- Providing senior subject matter expertise (SME) in the areas of DevOps toolchain usage, version functionality, upgrades and tool development
- Performing complex and challenging duties and functions
- Supporting integration of DevOps toolchain and pipeline with other BC Ferries systems such as System Monitoring and APM
- Providing orientation, guidance and informal training to peers and new employees;
- Collaborating with software developers, quality assurance testers and IT professionals to guarantee smooth deployment, automation and management of software infrastructure
- Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for multiple software applications and environments
- Automating software deployment, configuration, and upkeep processes;
- Troubleshoot software infrastructure issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them
