Medforce are delighted to have partned with one of the most prestigeous orthopaedic hospitals in Ireland to recruit a Senior Dietician for a Two-year specified purpose contract. Our client delivers expert services to patients, bringing together skills, knowledge and expertise to deliver cutting-edge treatments.
The Senior Dietitian is an experienced professional with strong clinical and academic skills in providing care to rehabilitation patients in a multidisciplinary setting. This role requires good organisational abilities and a keen interest in developing management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nutritional assessments and individualized care plans for adults and older persons in rehabilitation, focusing on enhancing recovery and functional independence.
- Deliver specialized dietary advice to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic procedures, supporting optimal recovery and healing.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct nutritional assessments, create and implement evidence-based interventions, and monitor patients’ progress in both acute and rehabilitation settings.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on the importance of nutrition in recovery, prevention, and long-term health.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols related to nutrition in rehabilitation and orthopaedic care.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure best practices in nutritional care.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior dietitians and other healthcare staff as required.
