Over the course of fiscal 2022-23, OLG delivered approximately $2.5 billion in net profit to the Province of Ontario. OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction, to become a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired digital platform.
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Digital Analytics Analyst to join our team to support and contribute towards the OLG’s operational, financial, digital and strategic initiatives through the compilation, analysis and interpretation of information to all senior decision makers up to, and including, the Executive Committee.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Analytics, you will be empowered to:
- Performing analytical functions with deep business intelligence and objective, fact-based recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the management decision making process within the OLG.
- Familiarity with Analytics models and techniques such as Decision Trees, Clustering models, Association Rules, Predictive Models, Natural Language Processing and Time Series Models.
- Developing insights, reports and dashboards using Python, SQL and/or PowerBI to proactively monitor customer and operational performance across OLG’s Digital Channels and report on areas of opportunity.
- Supporting Digital projects, operations and analytical initiatives in support of OLG’s Digital roadmap.
- Developing and maintaining effective business relationships, acting as the analytical subject matter expert for digital analytics and the Google suite of analytics tools.
- Increasing OLG’s ability to compete on analytics by developing and implementing automated and integrated methodologies for data retrieval, analysis and interpretation of a wide variety of key performance indicators.
- Developing new insights through research and exploration of internal and external information sources to uncover potential relationships that can be exploited to drive future profitability within the organization.
- Monitoring all published operational data and taking action/ownership to ensure accuracy, consistency, relevance and timeliness of the information. You will also contribute to improving the quality of information by auditing existing data collection/input processes.
- Creating support documentation for analysis findings, presentations, reports, training sessions, templates, etc.
- Frequent collaboration with senior leadership to maintain continuous improvement, provide maximum value and evolve the analytical needs of the OLG.
- Communicate and work with key stakeholders at all levels to understand relevant business opportunities and propose analytics-based solutions to the business challenges and translate complex concepts into actionable insights. This will often include working and collaborating closely with other teams across the organization.
- Understand customer behaviour and assist in developing acquisition, augmentation and retention strategies.
- Participate in the development of predictive modelling which identifies gaming market opportunity potential throughout Ontario, along with developing insight generation that aids with strategic business decision making.
