The Role Senior Digital Marketing Manager
We have an exciting new role for an outstanding Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead the digital marketing strategy for Chester Zoo, and our upcoming hotel development, to achieve our ambitious visitor and income targets.

We’re looking for someone who can lead and develop our passionate digital marketing team, including setting objectives and commercial growth plans across our website/SEO, app and paid performance marketing (Search, PPC, Paid Social), as well as leading projects across CRO and online marketing communications such as our online members magazine.

  • Reporting to the Head of Brand and Marketing, you will lead the digital marketing team in order to enhance our brand reach and deliver against our digital KPIs and income objectives. You will be the go-to person for digital marketing and growth projects, working alongside our senior leads in CRM/ customer development, email, data insight and marketing.
  • Manage and optimise budgets to ensure maximum ROI and efficiency, supporting the growth of online revenue through CRO projects related to our varied commercial and charitable opportunities. You will effectively manage our external digital agencies and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement integrated digital projects. Provide digital marketing leadership to other departments such as memberships, events, fundraising and education to achieve their financial targets, as well as conservation and science teams to achieve conservation objectives.
  • Provide market research intelligence to inform marketing and organisational decision making at the highest level. Staying up to date with the latest digital marketing trends, best practices, and innovation. Analysing and reporting on our digital performance, identifying areas for optimisation.
