JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Sr. Director, Commercial Portfolio & Optimization, you will provide comprehensive support to the Head of Global Growth - Biotech Solutions, as well as the Biotech Solutions global leadership team. The Sr. Director will partner with CRG and PSG Commercial leadership to aid in the development of and drive the strategic direction across the organization to ensure a customized biotech offering that is most effective for integrating all business units of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Provides consultation, direction and leadership to departments and employees to ensure commercial excellence, consistency, communication, quality, innovation and learning across the integrated offering. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, the ability to provide critical insights and oversight to enhance decision-making processes and quality and possess a deep understanding of the Biotech and CRO industries. This role will act as a trusted advisor and partner to the Biotech Solutions leadership team, providing high-level support and driving the successful execution of key commercial objectives as well as ensuring efficient daily operations within commercial operations and helping to cultivate effective communication within the team. The Sr. Director will establish a team that will work across Biotech Solutions. The position is global in nature and can be located remotely out of the United States.
What will you do:
- Develops and drives commercial initiatives across the entire Thermo Fisher offering to derive the customer facing strategy and materials.
- Supports Biotech Solutions with internal Integrated Offerings strategy and go-to-market plan for commercial teams.
- Facilitate cross-sell initiatives and strategy to gain internal alignment on strategy and go-to market.
- Support business development where needed to optimize total company sales and growth.
- Supports management with initiatives aimed to harmonize and improve overall commercial infrastructure.
- Responsible for ensuring that all updates are collected based on pipeline and other meetings facilitated in CRM and ongoing reporting.
- Provide support or assistance with handling the authorization approval process and assist with the reviews.
- Supports commercial AOP and budgeting processes.
- Assists and in some cases leads with building executive presentations and QBR content for organization and sponsor leadership.
- Works closely with Marketing, Account Development, Business Development, and Operations internally across all Business Units
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across the Commercial organization, ensuring smooth workflow, information sharing, and problem resolution. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, both within CRG (including functional areas), across PSG Commercial and across Thermo Fisher, including specifically the Corporate Accounts function to ensure alignment and successful execution of commercial initiatives.

Working Conditions and Environment:
- Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
