United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Senior Director, Employee Giving (New Business) to join our team. As Senior Director, Employee Giving (New Business) at United Way Miami, you will develop and maintain various fundraising initiatives to include corporate, employee, and individual fundraising. Develop and build relationships in the community to address the health and human service needs of the community through United Way Miami.
Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Public speaking, understanding of people, ability to adapt to changing situations, ability to understand and analyze industry trends, sales ability, computer skills, basic math skills, and negotiation skills. The Spanish language is not a requirement but helpful.
- Contacts: Internal. Communicate with all levels of the organization to exchange information, collect information, coordinate projects, and solve problems.
- External. Communicate with volunteers, key volunteers, donors/contributors, the general public, vendors, United Way agencies, and media to exchange information, collect information, coordinate information, solve problems, sell or buy services, and cultivate relationships
Responsibilities:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive employee-giving new business development strategy aligned with UWM’s mission and goals.
- Continue building and leading the New Business Initiative including identifying prospects, engaging them in the work of United Way, and securing appropriate revenues through cross-selling opportunities.
- Work alongside VP, Development and collaborate with senior leadership to integrate and grow New Business opportunities with overall organization strategy.
- Identify and cultivate new relationships with potential partners, donors, and stakeholders to create new opportunities for collaboration and funding.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners to enhance and expand engagement and funding.
- Develop and oversee proposals, pitches, and presentations to potential funders and partners.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in the non-profit sector and business development.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
- Use data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making.

Requirements:
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Non-Profit Management, Public Relations, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements: Five years experience in business development, partnership management, account management, fundraising, volunteer management, or related roles.
Technology Requirements: Intermediate Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Andar. Knowledge of modern web browsers.
