We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Director, IT Enablement & Excellence to join our diverse team. EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM, or equivalent experience required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience leading large system implementations and/or transformation.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and visualization tools.
  • 15+ years of Program Management experience.
  • 5 years of business partnership experience with exposure to senior management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Experience leveraging Data & Analytics/AI solutions to automate IT processes and reporting needs. Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • Ability to build analytics reports that provide insights for cross-divisional prioritization and resourcing needs.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies with a proven track record of successful program delivery.
  • Strives for improvement and innovation by evaluating current processes and aligning them with the overall IT strategy. Continuously researches industry trends to develop innovative solutions.
  • Champions change by leading cross-functional teams and providing strategic insights.
  • Builds strong teams through hiring, coaching, and mentoring. Provides positive reinforcement and growth opportunities. Balances the needs of the team and empowers team members to make decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with prior financial budget and forecasting experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop standard IT program management and governance practices.
  • Develop IT reporting as a service to minimize workload on program reporting and status tracking through automated dashboards.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership team, Divisional IT leaders, and PMO leads to define requirements for automated and AI-enabled insightful dashboards.
  • Responsible for IT KPIs and bowlers, leveraging Practical Process Improvement (PPI) to deliver outcomes. Develop new ways to accelerate identification of IT process standardization and automation opportunities across Thermo Fisher. Facilitate discussions to enable consistent outcomes across cross-functional teams. Adapt and roll out project management methodologies and tools for Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe.
