Description:

Robert Half is presently seeking a refined and dedicated Senior Director of Accounting to oversee our financial activities. This position will need the qualified candidate to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting management and strategic leadership positions with large companies and hold a substantial understanding of general ledger functions, financial reporting, and new business processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree or CPA highly preferred).
Public Accounting experience, along with industry experience is a must
Minimum 10 years of experience in an accounting leadership role leading large teams.
Strong knowledge of corporate finance and measures of performance.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Familiarity with the general ledger functions and the month/quarter/year-end close process
High-level organizational and leadership skills, with a capacity to switch rapidly between strategic and detailed levels.
Proven experience in managing new projects and new business ventures.
Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, VP, and CFO concerning fiscal strategy.
Supervise investment and cash management strategies.
Examine and review financial reports and find ways to reduce costs.
Innovate and implement new business processes, establishing protocols for account reconciliation, etc.
Build, manage and mentor a high-performance team; regularly review team functions and processes for better efficiency.
Spearhead new business ventures from scratch, ensuring solid financial grounding and realistic fiscal projections.
Active participation in corporate policy development.
