Description:

This is a Full-Time position at CRISTA Ministries in Shoreline, WA.
Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000 annual salary depending on experience, plus $2,000 New Hire Bonus

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Human Resources will create a positive, inclusive, high performance work environment that aligns with CRISTA’s mission and vision. Provide Christ-centered, service driven and highly professional operational leadership that ensures an excellent employment experience for employees, while empowering ministry outcomes that are spiritually and culturally healthy. Manage and lead the HR team to achieve excellence in the following HR functions: talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, HR operations and systems, compliance and reporting.
Work with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and the HR team to provide creative and insightful solutions to critical people issues, advising CRISTA managers and staff accordingly. Lead the execution of CRISTA’s employment brand and desired employee experience through the delivery of HR functions. Support and partner with the CPO to inform, advise, and recommend innovative HR and essential people management strategies and policies and deliver outcomes through successful execution. May attend events representing the HR function as requested by the CPO.

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT

  • Partner with the CPO to define the HR vision and strategy for all HR activities, focusing on ongoing improvements and adopting best practices.
  • Build excellence into the employee lifecycle from hire to end of employment, driving retention and employee engagement.
  • Develop and manage human resources objectives, policies and procedures to accomplish CRISTA’s strategic objectives.
  • Provide leadership of CRISTA’s Total Rewards philosophy and help manage CRISTA’s retirement and benefits programs, compensation system and pay policies.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop and maintain an HR systems strategy – driving change when needed to meet growth goals and needs.
  • Collaborate with CRISTA’s General Counsel as needed

  • Build the CRISTA employment brand through effective employee relations practices, communication, reporting, processes and systems.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and expectations are communicated clearly and regularly.

  • Regularly communicating with managers and employees to understand needs and challenges.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Organizational Behavior/Development, Psychology, or related degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years of human resources experience at the Director level or above with significant experience in employee relations, compensation, benefits planning and administration, leadership development, etc.
