Nasdaq is searching for our next Organizational Strategy Leader, part of HR, to support our Financial Technology division. This role serves as the strategic talent partner to one or more executive team members who report to the division president.
Collaborating with the Vice President, Head of Organizational Strategy for the FinTech division, you will shape and lead the talent strategy in your designated business unit(s) globally. You will operate as a trusted advisor and talent consultant to your executives, functioning as an authority on people, leadership and organizational issues. Leading through influence, you collaborate well across boundaries, act as a true partner to your peers in the People@Nasdaq Centers of Excellence, and are personally invested in developing our regional Nasdaq People Partners in a matrixed operating model.

What will you be doing?

  • Design a talent strategy crafted to attract, develop, and retain the very best innovative talent in the business
  • Deliver custom people initiatives to improve culture and engagement
  • Conduct long-term workforce planning that includes organisational shape, capabilities, and footprint analysis
  • Leverage organizational data, trends and metrics to drive sound talent decisions
  • Conduct organizational structure and operating model design with supporting organizational change strategies to ensure your organizations are designed and operating to meet their strategy
  • Conduct talent, capability, and organisational planning, ensuring your teams have the right talent, in the right place, at the right time
  • Engage with Centers of Excellence to build and implement talent programs that have a business impact

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Executive Succession and Executive Development
  • Organizational Design and Target Operating Model development
  • Talent Review, including critical talent identification and high potential identification
  • Implementation of global or enterprise HR processes for your assigned business units
  • Developing and implementing organizational organisational change plans
  • Post-merger integration work

The ideal candidate will have a track record of:

  • Balancing strategic vision with execution of realistic execution plans
  • Influencing without direct authority
  • Collaborating with a matrixed, geographically distributed team
  • Connecting business strategy to people programs to meet strategic needs
  • Excellent attention to detail and passion to lead important operational work to support critical initiatives
  • Using Excel to analyze data and build action plans (comfortable using VLOOKUP, nested IF statements and pivot tables)

We expect you to have

  • Education Required: Degree qualified in a relevant field; a specialized Master’s degree or MBA is a plus or equivalent working experience.
  • Proven track record in HR roles or related management consulting roles.
  • Prior HR or talent management experience is required.
  • Experience in FinTech, technology or financial services is desirable.
  • Special Qualifications: understanding of organizational change practices, talent management practices, organizational design, and executive leadership.
