Description:
The National Center for Families Learning, a private nonprofit organization located in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Senior Director, Research and Evaluation to establish a vision and strategic direction for research and evaluation by overseeing the planning and execution of research and evaluation projects, including the collecting, validating, and analyzing data and designing and producing charts, graphs, briefs, presentations, and reports that describe and interpret findings. The Senior Director will deliver high quality and actionable research and evaluation that informs, guides and influences practice and policy innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Five years of related professional experience working in applied research and evaluation settings.
- Advanced degree required; Doctoral degree in psychology, sociology, educational research/evaluation, mathematics or related field and relevant prior work experience.
- Qualifications require relevant education, training and certifications with various types of research and evaluation such as experimental, correlational, and qualitative
- Experience with standard software packages such as SPSS, SAS, or others
- Administration of psychological and/or educational assessments
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently on varied projects simultaneously.
- An unwavering belief that all families want the best for their children and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
- Proven track record of ambitious results in previous roles.
- Self-awareness, a regular practice of reflection, and a desire to continuously improve
- Skilled at collaborative action planning and execution
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- The ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate the keyboard including some reaching requiring consistent use of hands and arms.
- Ability to travel.
