We are currently supporting a well-established full-service law firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne in their search for a talented Senior Lawyer to join their expanding Dispute Resolution team.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will:

• Have at least 10 years’ PQE with solid litigation experience gained at a Legal 500 firm
• Possess strong technical knowledge and the ability to handle high-value and complex disputes
• Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Have a track record of business development and generating new work
• Be comfortable working in a leadership role, mentoring and supervising junior members of the team
• Be commercially astute and capable of providing practical, tailored solutions to clients

• Property Litigation
• Commercial Litigation
• Insolvency Litigation
• Intellectual Property Litigatio

THE ROLE

Due to the continued growth and expansion of the Dispute Resolution department, this firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lawyer with general litigation experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Property Litigation
• Commercial Litigation
• Insolvency Litigation
• Intellectual Property Litigation

As a key member of the team, you will handle a broad range of complex disputes, including but not limited to:

• Commercial contract disputes
• Director duties and shareholder disputes (including unfair prejudice petitions and derivative claims)
• Property litigation (dilapidation claims, possession proceedings, land registration disputes, contested lease renewals)
• Contentious probate (will disputes, administration disputes, proprietary estoppel claims)
• Specialist tax dispute advice and advocacy before the First Tier Tax Tribunal (e.g., VAT disputes)
• Intellectual property disputes (design rights, copyright, passing off, trade marks)
