Job Description
As a Senior Diversity & Inclusion Specialist, you will drive strategies that support The Post’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Reporting to the Diversity & Inclusion Director, you will provide governance and leadership of our Inclusion Networks Program and leverage best practices and trends in support of our commitment to DEIB. The Senior D&I Specialist will focus on supporting initiatives to embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into The Post’s day-to-day operations and culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the D&I director to implement DEIB initiatives.
  • Continue to increase, apply and share knowledge in DEIB and related fields.
  • Ability to manage sometimes complex projects and processes, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Lead and grow the Inclusion Network program to promote employee engagement.
  • Maintain alignment of the Inclusion Network program with The Post’s mission.
  • Build trust-based relationships and maintain continuous communication with Inclusion Networks to support DEIB initiatives.
  • Cultivate relationships by working closely with teams across Human Resources.
  • Partner with the Talent Development & Culture team to create DEIB learning and development content.
  • Deliver training courses to advance employee understanding of DEIB topics.
  • Partner with the Employer Brand team to develop social media and employer communication campaigns.
  • Partner with the Internal Communications team to develop communication campaigns to promote awareness of DEIB efforts.

Requirements:

  • The location is in our Washington DC HQ’s. We are hybrid in office 3 days/week.
  • Previous experience working to develop and sustain successful inclusion networks or employee resource groups is a plus.
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature and contributes to moderately complex aspects of projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, DEIB-related, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Four or more years of progressive experience working in Diversity & Inclusion functions.

Benefits may vary based on the job, full-time or part-time schedule, location, and collectively bargained status.
The salary range for this position is:
91,800.00 - 153,000.00 USD Annual
The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
