Senior Dot Net Developer

HugoMRM are looking for an experienced Dotnet developer to assist in building out a new website for a technology client. Building upon recent work we’ve completed to create a static website based upon our Pattern Library, you’ll be working with our standard white label Umbraco implementation to stand up an Umbraco 10 site, build out some custom components to support the required features and configure the document types for the content delivery team to build out the site architecture and initial content load.
The role

Key aspects of this role include:

• Close working with Front End developers to understand new components beyond our standard whitelabel implementation.
• Advising on feasibility of requirements and proposing solutions
• Internal and client playback / presentation
• Hands on development

REQUIREMENTS

Your skills
You will need an excellent ability to communicate your ideas and work with others to make them happen. You need to be a self-starter who can organise your thinking and manage your own time in an efficient manner.

Core skills

• Excellent C# experience: Strong expertise in C#, including knowledge of the latest language features and best practices.
• Experience with MVC and WebAPI: In-depth understanding and practical experience with ASP.NET MVC and WebAPI.
• Entity Framework and SQL: Proficient in using Entity Framework
• Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD): Proficiency in writing unit tests and practising TDD.

Additional skills

• Azure Functions and Serverless Architecture: Experience in developing Azure Functions.
• Experience working with Azure PaaS (App Services) deployments, including Azure Search, Web Jobs and Load Balanced environments
• Knowledge of Git and the GitFlow process
• Experience working as part of a Agile Scrum / Delivery Team
• An appreciation of tooling such as nuget, Azure DevOps
• A good eye for detail and a real passion for building high quality products
• An excellent ability to communicate your ideas and work with others to make them happen
• Must be personable, friendly and work well in a team
• Enthusiastic about the web and emerging web technologies
