QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR EC&I ENGINEER

- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain standard Baseline SC clearance for this role
The role is full time, 37-hours per week, and can be based at our Glasgow with flexible, hybrid working options.

THE ROLE
As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This opportunity will involve working as a Senior EC&I Engineer as part of a JV team on the Nuclear Technical Support Provider (NTSP) framework. This seven year framework, with the option of a further three years, will deliver specialist nuclear technical services valued between £250-million to £400-million to support DIO, Navy Command and other MOD organisations.
The framework will support the Clyde Infrastructure Programme (CIP) and wider Royal Navy and defence requirements. Its primary focus will be on delivering the refurbishment and upgrade of critical infrastructure at HMNB Clyde.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience across our projects.
- Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Liaise with customers, supply chain, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Translate technical details for non-technical teams and vice versa, facilitating smooth information flow.
- Identify and implement procedures, codes, and standards across Engineering and related teams.
- Participate in product safety assessments, ensuring a focus on safety throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate on process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and resource utilisation.
- Provide technical solutions, documentation, and project support with a focus on meeting deadlines, quality, and budgets.
- Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority and act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorised to do so.
