Title: Senior Economist
Salary: $86,778 - $102,091 - $117,405 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Mon to Fri, 37.5 hours/ Week, 9am-4pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Metro Vancouver Office located on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.
As a Senior Economist, you will design and implement complex economic analyses and communicate the results to senior leadership to support decision-making. This position is expected to be able to conduct analysis for all Health Benefits areas as required by business needs. The position also supports team members to ensure successful delivery and tracking of ongoing priorities and acts as a leader within the Financial Management and Performance Measures team.
EDUCATION
Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Commerce, or a similar discipline, plus 2 to 5 years of recent, progressive experience, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years of recent, relevant experience
- Recent and relevant experience in financial and data analysis, manipulation, and interpretation, Cost and Benefit Analysis, performance measurements, experience with large health related administrative data set preferably in the health sector is an asset
- Experience working with Microsoft Office productivity software.
- Experience with reporting, analysis, and visualization tools including Excel ,Tableau, R and Python
- Experience with business intelligence, data warehouse technologies, with strong SQL skills.
