Description:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for offshore modification projects with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out estimation, feasibility studies, engineering, and design work for offshore modification projects.
  • Develop solutions and interface designs in collaboration with operations teams and clients.
  • Perform electrical and instrumentation engineering tasks.
  • Conduct offshore surveys, oversee FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and provide follow-up on installations both offshore and during yard stays.
  • Prepare job cards for installation and draft detailed technical specifications for suppliers.
  • Coordinate activities, support mechanical completion processes, and assist in commissioning efforts.
  • Participate in projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental conscientious
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Creative and constructive
  • Determined and result oriented
  • Team player and development-oriented with an “Yes we can” attitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Extensive computer skills

Work Experience:

  • Familiar with rules and regulations for electrical installations on marine installations such as PTIL, NORSOK, ATEX, IECEx, OLF, DNV and IEC.
  • Experience with modification work at fixed and mobile drilling units on NCS.
  • Preferable experience within related projects and tasks for offshore drilling, offshore wind and green technology.
  • Familiar with IECEx and ATEX equipment and regulations.
  • Experience with project deliveries and key customers’ expectations.
  • Experience with all relevant laws, regulations and standards listed above.
  • Familiar with related software, for example Autocad and Febdok.
  • Familiar with Equinor systems such as Stid, Stidloop and Procosys.

Education:

  • Technical, Bachelor or Master degree within electrical or automation engineering (or equivalent). Experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
  • Additional electrician, instrumentation or automation certificate is an advantage.
