Description:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for offshore modification projects with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out estimation, feasibility studies, engineering, and design work for offshore modification projects.
- Develop solutions and interface designs in collaboration with operations teams and clients.
- Perform electrical and instrumentation engineering tasks.
- Conduct offshore surveys, oversee FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and provide follow-up on installations both offshore and during yard stays.
- Prepare job cards for installation and draft detailed technical specifications for suppliers.
- Coordinate activities, support mechanical completion processes, and assist in commissioning efforts.
- Participate in projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental conscientious
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
- Creative and constructive
- Determined and result oriented
- Team player and development-oriented with an “Yes we can” attitude
- Ability to work independently
- Extensive computer skills
Work Experience:
- Familiar with rules and regulations for electrical installations on marine installations such as PTIL, NORSOK, ATEX, IECEx, OLF, DNV and IEC.
- Experience with modification work at fixed and mobile drilling units on NCS.
- Preferable experience within related projects and tasks for offshore drilling, offshore wind and green technology.
- Familiar with IECEx and ATEX equipment and regulations.
- Experience with project deliveries and key customers’ expectations.
- Experience with all relevant laws, regulations and standards listed above.
- Familiar with related software, for example Autocad and Febdok.
- Familiar with Equinor systems such as Stid, Stidloop and Procosys.
Education:
- Technical, Bachelor or Master degree within electrical or automation engineering (or equivalent). Experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
- Additional electrician, instrumentation or automation certificate is an advantage.
