SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGNER - CONSTRUCTION / BUILDING INDUSTRY. EXCELLENT COMPENSATION. CHOICE OF LOCATION -KINGSTON OR KITCHENER OR LONDON. HYBRID (50% REMOTE).

Compensation package includes a very competitive annual base salary of $75,000 to $100,000. commensurate with experience, plus bonuses, profit sharing, RRSP matching and comprehensive benefits.

The firm provides mechanical and electrical design services to architects, building owners, property managers, government agencies and contractors across Canada. The employer seeks to engage an Electrical Designer with 10 years or more of experience in within Building Services.

REQUIREMENTS:

Project management experience or a desire to grow into a project manager.
10+ years of electrical design experience in the building construction industry and at least 5 years design experience in Ontario.
Pro-active approach to problem-solving and communicating with others.
Ability to multi-task and be organized, especially under the stress of deadlines.
Strong leadership skills.
Effective communicator.
Strong desire to work within a team and develop the skills of the team.
Degree in Engineering, Professional Engineer (PEng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or EIT designations are highly preferred.
The following professional designations would be an asset: RCDD, Certified Passive House Designer, LEED® Accredited Professional.

Design and draft drawings in AutoCAD and REVIT - electrical design requirements will include:

• Power distribution and generation systems;
• Lighting (indoor and outdoor) and lighting control systems;
• Fire Alarm Systems;
• Voice/data communications, Security/CCTV systems, public address, nurse call, and related infrastructure

• Voice/data communications, Security/CCTV systems, public address, nurse call, and related infrastructure.

Communicate with clients, contractors, and sales reps, preparing project documentation, and coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
Conduct site visits/reviews and construction phase services.
