WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Lead by example, championing Zero Harm and maintaining the highest safety standards. Drive engineering excellence, ensuring compliance with statutory and EDF Renewables policies.
Your Impact:
- Deliver expert electrical engineering solutions, embedding quality and operational excellence.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing, collaborative team.
- Set and uphold engineering standards, ensuring compliance and innovation.
- Provide technical leadership, supporting critical business needs and high-voltage projects.
- Investigate and integrate emerging technologies to optimize HV asset management.
- Represent EDF Renewables in industry events and technical discussions.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE GREAT AT THIS ROLE?
You’ll be a proven leader successful in delivering projects / programmes, establishing / managing relationships, securing and maintaining a safe environment, managing priorities, and inspiring and influencing behaviours and actions.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of an engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered membership of an appropriate body is desirable.
- NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Accreditation under WTSR and HVSR is desirable.
- Specialist in at least one engineering discipline within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong experience of managing risks and challenges in a renewables environment.
- Experience of coaching / mentoring less experienced team members.
- Strong commitment to safety, health, environment and quality.
- Highly proficient in key areas of engineering in the renewables environment.
- Excellent at building successful relationships with external partners, peers, stakeholders and reporting line.
- Computer literate with a good command of Microsoft Office package (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, etc.).
- Flexible to travel around the UK and overseas as the role requires.
- Excellent (English), oral and written, communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
