AGL’s Renewables team have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Wind. You will be providing technical engineering support for AGL’s existing wind assets across Victoria and South Australia, optimising performance over their lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing electrical engineering support for our wind farm assets and asset management plans for each site.
  • Lead the review of risks and implementing effective risk management plans.
  • Conduct investigations into failures and complete root cause analysis.
  • Champion and review any management of change across the wind assets.
  • Analysing and assessing asset performance, addressing technical issues and working with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure solutions are met in a timely manner.
  • Improving the performance and cost efficiency of assets through innovation and collaboration.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in asset management, risk evaluation and delivering reliability and efficiency improvements on operational assets.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with technical compliance of electrical equipment and specifically an understanding of compliance to all NEM requirements.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Active engagement across the business, managing internal and external stakeholders and on-site contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the operation and maintenance of wind turbines & wind farms.
  • Strong technical skills, with a solutions-focused approach to challenges.
  • Strong understanding of Asset Management Principles and ISO55000.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a professional and technical engineering role.
  • Experience leading and developing team members/direct reports.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer or eligible to be Chartered
  • Capable of registering for the National Engineering Register
