We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Wolff Engineering & Design team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• CPEng Status.
• Strong understanding of the functional electrical design (Power Systems, Control Systems and Construction Design).
• Sound knowledge and understanding of HV infrastructure and construction techniques.
• Possess detailed knowledge of design quality assurance processes and relevant standards, legislation, policies and procedures applicable to designs and studies.
• Experience with reviewing design scopes and specifications and preparing design estimates.
• Proficient in generating detailed technical reports and formulating concise technical arguments.
• Conduct comprehensive electrical design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role and will work closely with Operations Managers and Design Project Managers to effectively design and deliver all aspects of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) power distribution and protection system designs across our pipeline of projects.
You will support the engineering and design effort on projects from the bid and estimating phase, through to tender design and support, detail design and documentation, and construction & commissioning activities.

DUTIES INCLUDE

• HV and LV equipment specification and selection
• Protection system design and relay settings
• Earthing system modelling, design and testing
• Lightning protection system design
• Power factor and harmonics analysis and rectification
• Power systems modelling including load flow and fault level analysis
• Overhead power line modelling and design
• Substation design
• Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Engage with Clients and Stakeholders including negotiations for variations to scope and services
