Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, including the Electrical Pre-Construction Engineer.
- Foster a collaborative, solution-focused team environment.
Project Management
- Manage projects through design development to site handover, ensuring electrical systems are coordinated, compliant, and pre-construction packages are comprehensive.
Supplier Coordination & Procurement
- Prepare and review supplier/subcontractor enquiries and bids.
- Collaborate with the QS and Procurement teams to secure electrical equipment and services.
Design Audits & Coordination
- Conduct design reviews, issue RFIs, and identify Value Engineering opportunities.
- Oversee CDP subcontractors and liaise with external design consultants to meet project specifications.
BIM, Documentation & Reporting
- Manage BIM resources and working drawings for accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee technical submittals and maintain robust document control processes.
- Provide regular updates to the Pre-Construction and Design Director.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare detailed preconstruction reports on electrical elements for clients.
- Support the QS in managing electrical system variations and changes.
Additional Duties
- Attend Factory Witness Tests for electrical equipment.
- Ensure electrical estimates are accurate and consistent.
