Your responsibilities will encompass setting the minimum functional specifications for all projects and regularly updating these standards. It’s essential to keep senior management updated on engineering decisions and to encourage continuous advancements in our design and engineering methods. You’ll also be tasked with evaluating new technologies and designs, positioning yourself as a go-to expert in electrical engineering. Additionally, drafting technical documentation to facilitate procurement for various projects will be part of your remit.
Possessing hands-on electrical design and field experience, you should be adept at designing and managing PV and BESS electrical systems, including the interface to MV/HV connections. An understanding of the essential electrical equipment for PV and BESS plants is vital. You should also have a strong appreciation for the constructability of different designs. Your collaborations will span both internal teams and external parties, such as utilities, manufacturers, vendors, and EPC/EBOP contractors.
