YOUR TEAM:
The Automotive Ethernet Segment (AES) is part of the Product Line (PL) In Vehicle Networking (IVN) and is one of the fastest growing segments within NXP. The applications team within AES is responsible for providing technical support to the field application team, while working closely together with R&D experts, sales team and directly with customers, worldwide. We are well recognized within the automotive market as experts and belong to the cross-industry community that introduces novelties in car networking. The location of this vacancy is Hamburg, Germany.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Several years of experience in hardware development using automotive semiconductors & electronics
- Knowledge of EMC measurements, incl. test set-ups and EMC performance assessments.
- Experienced in high-speed board design, layout and PCB simulations.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed communication systems and products, primarily on physical layer level.
- Knowledge of high-speed network implementations beneficial
- Knowledge of the automotive market and applications is plus
- Experiences in dealing with customers
- Proven problem solving and debug capabilities

- University degree in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science or similar

Responsibilities:
- Define EMC requirements for our advanced networking system products and work closely with the R&D team to ensure their correct implementation.
- Responsible for customer Application support activities and system solutions for advanced networking systems, primarily Ethernet switches and physical layer products and their application in In-Vehicle Networks (IVN).
- Respond to technical questions from our customers concerning EMC measurements, EMC performance.
- Reproduction and verification of issues reported by customers; on-site support to identify and debug problems.
- Provide solutions with optimized EMC behavior to customer and NXP internal stakeholders.
- Create customer facing technical documents such as application notes, white papers, FAQ’s, product trainings, etc.
- Cooperate with other application teams and EMC experts within NXP and external partners.
- Contribute to trainings and workshops with automotive manufacturers and their electronic subsystem suppliers.
- Support the development of reference designs and product or solution demonstrators.
- Contribute to thought leadership activities through conferences, trade fairs, articles, etc.
