Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Emissions Test Engineer in the Emissions Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
SUMMARY:
The role involves providing technical engineering support and emissions testing to the Emission Lab, to meet the client/customer demands, including the calibration and maintenance of the facility.

Responsibilities:
- To accommodate the emissions test and other development work, requested by all clients, which utilises the Lab resources to it’s maximum ability, by producing weekly test plans, to form the outline of the work.
- Edit the test plans at very short notice, in order to accommodate changes within the test requirements, in iterative testing programmes.
- Providing the manufacturing arm of the business, with the capability to carry out the Conformity of Production (COP) testing (within our equipment capability) which we are legally required to meet.
- Ensure the legal compliance of the facility and the authenticity of the results for each vehicle project.
- To collaborate with the Type Approval team over all test processes requirements, particularly any changes in emissions legislation, to enable any changes to be discussed and incorporated if necessary.
