Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Senior Employee Relations Specialist drives INIZIO’s processes, policies, and strategy across Employee Relations in Ireland, South Africa and the United Kingdom. You will act as a liaison between legal and business matters to act as a risk mitigation arm of HR, supporting ER policy creation, driving consistency across case outcomes, and providing system-wide approach and guidance.
You will report to the Global Employee Relations Lead. This is a remote-working role (you are welcome to work from one of our office locations). Time zones are flexible, so long as our needs are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will support the ER strategy including the services that will be delivered centrally by the center of expertise (CoE) in the businesses and supported by HR Shared Services. Specifically, you will:
- Lead the ER business process needed to run an equitable and clear ER process in Ireland, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to develop strategies to respond to team member concerns and infuse ER into broader company practices.
- Provide support to managers and employees.
- Implement employee relations best practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances.
- Monitor risks, spot trends, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify and address potential employee relations issues and develop preventive measures.
- Partner with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leaders to develop and/or support projects.
- Partner with Benefits leaders to develop and support initiatives related to employee well-being.
- Identify training needs for supervisors based on ER data and partner with Talent Development to develop and launch training.
- Assist managers and supervisors in understanding and implementing policies and procedures for managing their employees.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and comply with reporting requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Demonstrated experience supporting an ER Function.
- In-depth knowledge of human resources and employee relations. principles, practices, and procedures required for Ireland and South Africa are a must, with additional knowledge in the United Kingdom strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyse data to inform sensible decision-making.
- Experience with performance management and employee relations processes - mandatory in Ireland and South Africa, strongly preferred to also include United Kingdom.
- Demonstrated experience promoting a vision and translating it into an executable strategy.
- Ability to work across multiple businesses and partners.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and comply with reporting requirements.
