Responsibilities:

Join our economics team within the Energy business, where you will manage and contribute to projects involving a range of economic and financial issues on energy matters globally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Energy System Master Planning: From electricity generation to wider Integrated Resource Planning (IRP).
  • Techno-Economic Analysis: Assessing energy supply, flexibility, and utilization options, including levelized cost analysis of energy systems and services.
  • Hydrogen Economy and Decarbonization: Evaluating the techno-economics of hydrogen and decarbonization options.
  • Energy Demand Forecasting: Using both top-down (econometric) and bottom-up approaches.
  • Policy and Regulatory Analysis: Evaluating the impacts of energy policy and regulations on markets and techno-economics.
  • Report Preparation and Presentation: Creating and presenting reports to clients.
  • Tender Preparation: Responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Expressions of Interest (RFIs).
  • The work will primarily involve quantitative analysis using spreadsheet models, complex models, and proprietary software, focusing on the electricity sector, especially generation and transmission, with some market and regulatory insights.
