About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our team in the North West region to work on some interesting and challenging Highways projects
This position offers flexibility in working hours, with the possibility of reduced hours to accommodate individual needs
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Engineer you will:
- Oversee Engineering control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress.
- Maintain survey equipment including registers of equipment and testing regimes
- Read and determine information from drawings, schedules and specifications
- Produce as-built drawings & records for every element of the works involved in completionof Quality Check Sheets and Handover Documentation in a timely manner in line with programme
- Maintaining accurate records – Daily Diary, photographs, records of site discussions
- Understand Permit to Dig Systems
- Be competent in setting out techniques – ability to use level & EDM, plus GPS
- Be able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately

As a Senior Engineer, you will have knowledge of the construction process in one or more of the following areas:
- Earthworks / Drainage
- Pavement
- Structures
- Roadworks
