ABOUT US:

Thermal Management is a department/sub-technology stream within Volvo Group Trucks Technology with the responsibility for developing optimized Vehicle Thermal Management Systems for all the truck brands within the Volvo Group. In the Thermal Management Cab Climate Product Gothenburg team, you will join a team of dedicated engineers working on the cab climate function development and cab air distribution hardware.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for a skilled engineer with mechatronic hardware experience to work on the development of climate units/HVAC and related components for our platform solutions.
To be successful in this position, you need to have excellent communication and networking skills and a can-do attitude. You need to have the ability to manage several topics simultaneously and plan complex tasks. You are able to take ownership and lead of an own area and its deliveries, as well as being a team player.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have the following experience/background:

  • Detail knowledge of Climate systems (HVAC, A/C system, heating, air quality and filtering)
  • Advanced knowledge of development of mechanic and electric system development and verification process and methods (actuators, sensor)
  • Heat Transfer, Thermodynamic, and Refrigeration Principles knowledge
  • Knowledge and understanding of SW is considered a merit
  • CAD competence is considered a merit
  • Volvo documentation competence, e.g. KOLA, is considered a merit
  • Applicants shall have M.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronic engineering or similar technical field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Automotive industry
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
