Job title: Senior Combat Systems Engineer
Location: Barrow, Bristol, Frimley or Weymouth

What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation
- Understand the contractual and performance requirements for navigation systems, and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation and commissioning activities
- Support the development of estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver it in order to support bids, proposal development and project planning activities for navigation systems
- Provide technical support to shipbuilder installation and/or integration activities (included in-service refitting authorities)
- Provide technical support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers through to system acceptance by the customer
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Demonstrable Systems Engineering experience, including managing requirements and acceptance activities, systems design and integration
- An understanding of lifecycle management
- HNC / HND or equivalent qualification or experience
- Experience of creation of technical documentation
- Change management experience
Desirable:
- Understanding of DOORs and Enterprise Architect
- Previous navigational experience/knowledge (e.g. experience in Inertial systems/GPS systems/Gyro systems)
