KNOWLEDGE:

  • A self-starter, capable of working independently, highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency and the creativity to achieve results quickly.
  • Able to effectively interface with others as necessary to resolve complex issues.
  • Able to read electrical prints and coordinate the implementation of the design.
  • Able to create controls solutions from concept to completion.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 10 years working with highly automated equipment.
  • At least 5 years working with Robots, Fanuc desirable.
  • At least 5 years working on a manufacturing environment related to controls, maintenance, automation.
  • Proven experience with PC based control systems as well as panel views, testing equipment, bar coding, etc.
  • Proven experience with Data acquisition systems.

SKILLS:

  • Bilingual English and Spanish Required.
  • Possesses exceptional technical skills (electronic, electrical, and mechanical), PLC programming and installation, robots.
  • Has demonstrated ability in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated automated equipment.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or similar technical field.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Improve systems to maximize equipment up-time.
  • Solve complex issues with equipment.
  • Lead design and implementation of controls on highly automated and complex assembly lines and test stations.
  • Lead the assembly of electrical systems and controls cabinets.
  • Lead programming and troubleshooting of robots.
  • Influence the introduction of new technology to improve productivity, quality, safety.
  • Familiar with database-sql, oracle
  • Interface with Information Technology (IT)
  • Familiar with VLAN, switches.
  • Able to connect to Siemens, Allen Bradley PLC to make diagnosis and programming.
  • Assure equipment compliance to all safety standards and regulations.
  • High knowledge of Ignition, Scada WinCC, Thingworx, Wonderware. Octopus, Stiwa.
  • Participate as required and influence next generation of error proofing devices in production.
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.
  • Not responsible to supervise others however could temporally have technicians, students, engineers reporting.
