Main Purpose of the Job:
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery of civil infrastructure and utility support on masterplanning and land development projects in the UAE.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Lead the preparation civil infrastructure designs as well as the production technical specifications including design reports and drawings.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members to provide efficient and compliant deliverables with a high standard of quality.
  • Preparation of tender submissions including proposal cost and time estimates
  • Liaise with municipalities and local authorities (including utility companies), in pursuit of approvals and general coordination
  • Coordinate with the other disciplines including dry and wet utilities in addition to road engineering and transport planning teams
  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of relevant design drawings and managing the production of documentation such as feasibility reports, calculations, specifications, tenders, engineer’s estimates and site acceptance documents;
  • Represent the company in technical meetings with our clients, supervise the work of more junior staff and provide technical and professional guidance to assist their development

Candidate specifications

  • Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience; progressing towards Professional Registration (CEng or similar) with membership in a professional institution
  • Experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Civil3D, hydraulic modelling, etc.
  • Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge of local authority and standards mainly (DPM/UPC, ADDC, TRANSCO, DoE/ ADWEA, ETISALAT, DU, RSB, ADM, DEWA, RTA, DM)
  • In-depth understanding of Dubai & Abu Dhabi Authority Guidelines is a must
  • In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must
  • Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects
  • Possess existing relationships with key decision makers within local utility organisations.
  • Technical knowledge of both wet and dry infrastructure utilities (including sewer, stormwater, potable water, irrigation and firefighting water, district cooling, electrical and telecommunications)
  • Understanding of contemporary infrastructure modelling software packages
