YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree or PhD in electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable qualification
- Knowledge of main converter requirements engineering, verification & validation methods and applicable standards
- Experience with power electronics design and converter topologies
- Experience with model-based design approaches (Matlab, Simulink, Simscape)
- Experience with industrial state-of-the-art converters (e.g. ABB, Ingeteam, GE Power Conversion, HopeWind, Siemens, Vertiv, Woodward) of advantage
- Good communication skills in English
- Hands-on mentality, innovative and independent way of working
Responsibilities:
- Specification of main converter systems for WECs incl. functional requirements and test specification
- Model-based simulation and design of the main converter system at system, subsystem and component level
- Verification and validation (V&V) of the main converter system at system, subsystem and component level
- Continuous improvement of the requirements and V&V methodology of main converter systems
- Specifying, planning, coordinating and performing V&V activities of the main converter
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with main converter SW and control HW development
- Harmonization of functional interfaces & test setups with surrounding systems of the electrical drivetrain
- Development-accompanying testing on MiL, HiL, B2B test benches or prototype turbines
- Type testing activities including exchange with certifying body
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary internal and external partners
- Cooperation in concept and feasibility studies
